DEMI LOVATO IN CONCERT!

Hey everyone! I ended up seeing Demi Lovato last night along with David Archuleta and a new band called KSM. I have two videos that I'm going to upload on here and one of them talks about the concert. So stay tuned!

JONAS BROTHERS ON ROLLING STONE AGAIN!

Remember a few months back when the Jonas Brothers got on the cover of Rolling Stone? Well, THEY'RE BACK! The boys, looking INCREDIBLY sexy (the should be on the magazine more often!) are back on a July issue of Rolling Stone. Nick, Kevin and Joe look amazing! Also, Nick testified today in front of the US Senate for the need of diabetes research. His speech was incredible and the 16 year-old looked very mature. Nick J Online also had a videos and pictures. 

JON AND KATE PLUS 8 DIVORCE

It's official, everyone. Jon and Kate Gosselin, the parents of the hit reality series "Jon and Kate Plus 8" are filed for divorce on June 22, the afternoon that the episode aired in which the couple announced their split. The parents of twins and sextuplets have been the center of celebrity gossip for almost a year now.

But whose to blame for the split? Is it the fact that the parents chose to show their kids on national television? The fact that Kate now travels to promote her book? Whatever the real cause was for them, divorce seemed like the last resort for the couple. Luckily, they won't be fighting for custody of the kids. Jon and Kate clearly explained that they will take turns living in their Pennsylvania house (don't they already do that?). 

At last, the show must go on. Of course the show might seem a little awkward but we'll still be watching. Let's hope all goes well for the Gosselins in the future. 

TRUE RELIGION PETITES!

The designer denim label True Religion has FINALLY come out with Petite sizes for short people like myself! I love True Religions and it's great to see that they finally have these sizes available. NEW MUSIC AND A MOVIE!

This week, FOUR of my favorite Disney Channel stars came out with new albums! Not only that, but my mother's in a new movie...

The first album that came out this week was Hannah Montana's very own Mitchel Musso's self-titled debut. At first, the album seemed appealing after seeing Musso's music video for the first song on the album titled 'Hey' (it's also a Hanson song ;P). I was suprised to see that the almost 18-year-old actor CAN SING! I love his songs "Do It Up", "Speed Dial" and "Movin' In". But I must say, some of the songs get a little repetative. As the album nears towards the last 4 or 5 songs, the topics and sound tend to seem the same (such as being in the 'in crowd' and going to Hollywood).

The second album, which was very anticpated, is the new Jonas Brothers album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times". The albums is another step up for the three New Jersey natives. Their sound is definitely more mature but I must say, I think I like some of the songs on "A Little Bit Longer" more than this album. Also, I somehow find it amusing that Common teamed up with JB. However, the song "Fly With Me" is definitely my favorite. It made me fall in love with the brothers a lot more than I already love them. Some songs I'd recommend are "Paranoid", "Poison Ivy", "World War III" and "Black Keys".

And for the new movie news! My mother, a SAG member for over 25 years, finally got back in the business. Her best friend's husband is one of Hollywood's top stuntmen, being the original driver of the Knight Rider and Dukes of Hazzard. He's working right now on a movie in NYC called "Date Night" staring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell. My mother got in as an extra in the movie and had a blast. The movie is set to come out next year so keep a look out!

Brotherly Love XD

SPOTTED: Nick Jonas!

Nick Jonas was spotted by Perez Hilton in Georgia two days ago, hanging out with ex-girlfriend and fellow Disney Star, Miley Cyrus. Reportedly, Miley broke up with her 20-year-old now former flame Justin Gaston before she flew to Georgia to film her new movie "The Last Song". 

According to some sources, Justin and Miley were having some issues because Miley has been hanging out with Nick so much. Well, the Hannah Montana star seemed to be having fun with Nick at a recent shoot for a Disney Channel video on Sunday. This could've been awkward considering Selena Gomez (who was rumored to be dating Nick for a while) was there as well with her BFF Demi Lovato. I wonder where this will be heading...

Anyway, Nick is officially in NYC wit his brothers! He was spotted yesterday coming out of LaGuardia Airport. Tonight, catch the Jonas Brothers on David Letterman and if you have nothing to do tomorrow, get up SUPER early and head on down to Central Park, where the three brothers will be performing on Good Morning America. 

THE TONY AWARDS!

Like every other theatre kid in the country, I watched the Tony's Sunday night and even found out that one of my friends got to go! I was so excited for the three boys who won from Billy Elliot (esp. the one from Long Island who looks like a mini- Nick Jonas!). The three really deserved it and being a Long Islander myself, it was great to see such wonderful talent up there. The show looks amazing! 

Some of the shows I'd like to see, thanks to their performances, are Hair, Billy Elliot, Next To Normal and Rock Of Ages. Hair, of course is a revival, while Billy Elliot has music from Sir Elton John. Next To Normal is by the writers of RENT and Wicked and Rock Of Ages features American Idol contestant Constantine! 

Prom For Less!

Some proms have past, but some are just coming your way! Here are some ways to not spend a lot of money on prom!

Limo: Yes or No?

When it comes to having a limo for transportation, it all depends on how you have to get to your venue. I say it's a little much for junior prom. Also, some schools don't let you take limos for prom, like my school did. They can be expensive and in this economy, I say save your money and find something else to spend it on!

The Dress: Suggestions?

-For junior prom, I'd go with a cocktail dress. Find something cute and flirty. To save money, why not get a dress you can wear again? This way, you won't be spending too much. Go to outlet stores of designers like Betsey Johnson or BCBGMAXAZRIA. You can get dresses there for less and some styles you can't even find in department stores. Also, some dresses will cost you $100 or less. 

- The same goes for senior prom, only you might want more of a gown than a dress. A simple, long dress will do but make sure it's not too long. Try buying a pair of shoes first to get an idea of what color dress you want and also, this way you can try the dress on with the shoes to see how they look. 

- Still fit into your Sweet 16 or even your Bat Mitzvah dress? USE IT! My friend did this and she looked great! Not only that, but she saved so much money! My other friend took her 8th grade dance dress and just hemmed it! Great ideas that are great in times like these. 

Purse or Clutch?

I'd go with a clutch on this one. It really depends on how much stuff you're bringing. I used a small black purse that I got for $10 at Mandee. My friend, on the other hand, decided to use her sister's Coach clutch. Don't bring a huge handbag. A wristlet or clutch will do. If you're going to bring things like a camera and need a place to put your phone, try finding a medium or large clutch with a strap to put it on your wrist.

Makeup?

I say simple eyeshadow with a little blush and some lip gloss will do. I used Sephora's smokey eye kit to do my make up and it looked simple yet stunning! Try experimenting a few days before prom so you know what you'll be doing. 

Hair?

I didn't have time to get my hair done so I simply straightened it! If you're going to straighten your hair, get a cute headband or hair clip to put in. Or do some simple curls or an up do.

Shoes?

This might sound crazy, but I got my shoes at Payless! If you don't want to wear heels, why not wear some cute flats? Your feet won't kill you and I'm sure you can find a great pair. If you want a shoe for less, Payless has the Alice + Olivia line that is VERY stylish and cute. 

Before Prom?

Everyone knows that before prom, you get whoever your good friends are and take pictures. If you're taking a limo, get everyone to meet at your house or someone else's. I suggest meeting at someone's house that's convenient for everyone to get to. Have your parents and family take pictures of you and your date and even your friends! And don't forget to have some fun with it!

After Prom?

- Due to living just outside of NYC, a lot of my friends got party buses after and went to the city to a comedy club. I think this is a little much, considering party buses get crazy and won't you be tired after prom? Why not go bowling in your dress? A lot of my friends have done that and had a lot of fun. Or, do you have have friends that aren't going or couldn't attend prom? One of my best friends threw a small party in her backyard for a few hours and invited people who were and weren't even at prom. It makes your friends feel comfortable and a part of something. 

- If you're going to go to the city, at least save it for senior prom. Most likely, you and your friends will be at least 18 so you can pretty much go everywhere. If you really want to shell out some money, I've heard that some people in my school have rented houses on Fire Island or even in the Hamptons. This might cost a little much and you don't want to be caught cleaning up after the party!

Miley Cyrus might've just cursed Joe Jonas when she told the world that one night while doing karaoke with the JoBros, Joe decided to sing Beyonce's hit, "Single Ladies". Well, thanks to Miley, us fans and probably Nick and Kevin, Joseph Adam Jonas, in all his glory, is dancing to the song in a black leotard and heels. This video made my day and shows the reason why I love the Jonas boys so much. 

SORRY FOR LACK OF UPDATES!

OMG! Sorry for not updating. School has been taking over. Finals are almost here and they're killing me (especially my fashion class one!). Also, The Thespian had her birthday (can you guess how old I am?). So, all you fashionistas and thespians out there, here's what's been going on so far:

- Need a simple prom look for less? Do what I did! Go to outlet stores of designers! I got a great LBD for my prom at the BCBGMAXAZRIA outlet for $100. My shoes were American Eagle from Payless and a simple bag from Mandee. I'll try and make a post of it.

- What's new in Music? Well, it seems nothing much has been happening in the music world. Next week, the Jonas Brothers' new album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" hits shelves. I cannot wait! The Jonas Brothers are also on the cover, along with Mama J, for the July issue of Good Housekeeping as well as in "Night At The Museum" where they play cherubs!

- In TV news, what's going on with Jon and Kate Gosselin?! It seems that those two just won't tell everyone the truth! Let's hope that they stay together for their kids' sake!

- So I wasn't able to watch the MTV Movie Awards, but I did see the trailer for "New Moon"! I'm so excited for the movie to come out. Taylor Lautner looks smoking hot! And rumor has it, he's been dating Selena Gomez for months! Jeez, first she gets Nick Jonas and now Taylor Lautner?!

- For all you theatre kids, the TONY awards are coming soon! Shows like "Billy Elliot", "33 Variations" and lots of others are up for awards. I was very happy that "In The Heights" won for "Best Musical" last year. It truly is a great show and they so deserved it.
